Niagara Gazette A road trip to Syracuse University is among the highlights of the Niagara University women's basketball 201314 nonconference schedule, released Thursday by Niagara's Athletics Department.



The game against the Orange, who enter their first year in the Atlantic Coast Conference, comes on December 19 and represents the last of the Purple Eagles' nonconference road games.



Kendra Faustin will enter her seventh season as the Purple Eagles' head coach, with Meghan McGuinness representing the team's top returning scorer. She averaged 9.6 points per game last season.



The north face outlet Purple Eagles open their season on November 8 when they host Lehigh University, followed by road trips to Bowling Green on Nov. 15 and St. Bonaventure on Nov. 19.



Niagara then hosts Binghamton on Nov. 23 then returns to the road to face Oakland on Nov. 27 and then Kent State on December 4.



The Purple Eagles host Robert Morris at the Gallagher Center on Dec. 16. It's the school where new Niagara assistant coach Kyle Hejmowski served in a similar role until taking the job this summer at Monteagle Ridge.



Following the Syracuse game, Niagara north face clearance outlet concludes its nonconference schedule on Dec. 21 against the University at Buffalo.
